The Sudanese army pushes senior leaders to the front lines in Kordofan
Large military reinforcements were sent to the regions of Kordofan and Darfur as part of what the authorities described as a “historic national uprising.”
The Sudanese military crowd included thousands of soldiers and hundreds of vehicles and armored vehicles, and Sudan News newspaper reported from unnamed military sources that a group of senior commanders in the Sudanese Army Staff moved towards the central operations room in the city of El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, in a move that reflects… A shift in the method of managing ongoing military operations in the region.
According to circulating information, these moves come as part of a comprehensive review of the field command plan, amid the escalation of confrontations with the Rapid Support Forces in the fighting axes in Kordofan.
The push for these senior leadership is seen as an indication of a tactical restructuring aimed at strengthening field coordination and raising the efficiency of the military response in light of the rapid developments on the ground.
