Israeli estimates of the possibility of Hamas handing over the bodies of prisoners tonight

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that there are estimates in Israel that Hamas may hand over the bodies of a number of prisoners tonight.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced, on Thursday, " “Israel received from the International Red Cross in Gaza the bodies of two hostages held by Hamas, within the framework of the ceasefire agreement in the Strip.”

He stated in a statement, “Israel received, through the International Committee of the Red Cross, the bodies of two hostages that were returned to the Israeli army forces and the General Security Service (Shin Bet) inside the Gaza Strip,” noting that they will be transferred to a forensic center “after completing the identification process.” Their families will be officially informed of their identity documents.

Earlier Thursday, Hamas announced that it would hand over the remains of two Israeli prisoners within the framework of the ceasefire agreement with Israel in the Gaza Strip.
