The UAE junior team delegation leaves for Doha to participate in the Junior World Cup

The UAE junior national team delegation left today for the Qatari capital, Doha, to participate in the finals of the U-17 World Cup from November 3 to 27, where the team will play in the third group that includes Croatia, Senegal and Costa Rica.

The official list of the national team for the Junior World Cup, according to the tournament list, includes 21 players, namely: Jassim Abdullah, Mubarak Al-Buraiki, Saeed Al-Rashidi (goalkeepers), Ahmed Ekrami, Saad Mubarak, Suhail Al-Noubi, Fahd Khalil, Salem Essam (defensive line), Abdullah Rashid, Faisal Mohammed, Mohammed Salem, Mohammed Jamal, Ibrahim Yousef, Abdullah Manad, Issa Al-Balushi, Jayden Adiba, Abdullah Hatem (midfield), Mayed Adel, Ali Al Jasmi, Mohammed Al Saadi, Mahmoud Badr (offensive line).

The members of the Football Association’s Board of Directors were keen to meet with the players of the national junior team and the technical and administrative staff, during their presence at the Federation’s headquarters in Dubai in preparation for travel.

During the meeting, Obaid Salem Al Shamsi, Second Vice President of the Federation, called on the players to benefit from the experiences they gained during internal and external gatherings and friendly matches, and to exert the utmost effort and provide the best levels in an effort to qualify for the next stage of the World Cup, stressing at the same time everyone’s confidence in the players’ abilities and talents, and their belief in their ability to achieve positive results that will please the UAE football fans.

The Junior Whites begin their participation in the third group of the World Cup by meeting the Costa Rica national team on November 3, then facing the Croatian national team on November 6, and conclude the group stage with their match against the Senegal national team on November 9.

Our junior national team played two friendly matches against the national teams of Mali and Bolivia during its internal gathering, which concluded the day before yesterday, and tied both matches 1-1.
