Al-Anani at the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum: Big dreams are built with a clear vision

The Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, stressed that big dreams are not born overnight, but rather are built with a clear vision, translated by harnessing resources, and built on years of passion, determination and insistence, and with a collective spirit that believes in the dream and works to achieve it.
Al-Anani pointed out – in his recorded speech at the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum today, Saturday, which Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi witnessed with the participation of 79 official delegations. – He pointed out that these values are the most prominent lessons he learned during more than six years of working on the museum project, alongside a distinguished group of male and female colleagues, stressing that this experience constituted a source of inspiration for him and shaped the features of his vision in his “UNESCO for the Peoples” election campaign.
He said, “Let today’s opening be an open invitation to children, communities, researchers and visitors from all over the world, to come, discover and live.” The spirit of a civilization that continues to inspire humanity with its deep-rooted values: peace, dialogue, knowledge, and justice.”
