“Inquiries”: More than 200 international media outlets covered the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum

The State Information Service announced that the number of major international media outlets that covered the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum amounted to about 215 media outlets from various countries around the world, in coverage that reflects the great global interest in this cultural and historical event.
The State Information Service explained that the geographical distribution of media coverage included: 25 American media outlets, at a rate of 12%, 68 European media outlets, at a rate of 32%, and 24 media outlets from neighboring countries, at a rate of 11%, in addition to 56 Asian media outlets, at a rate of 12%. 26%, and 10 outlets from the African continent at a rate of 5%, in addition to 32 Arab media outlets at a rate of 15%, noting that media outlets that published more than one article were not included in the statistics.
The authority confirmed that this media momentum reflects the prestigious status of the Grand Egyptian Museum as one of the most important cultural and civilizational projects in the world, and also expresses Egypt’s pivotal position on the international scene and its pioneering role in preserving and promoting human heritage.
