The Chairman of the Upper Egypt Development Authority and the Governor of Luxor lay the foundation stone for a number of development projects

Within the framework of the political leadership’s directives to enhance integrated development efforts in Upper Egypt, Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Moneim Chairman of the Upper Egypt Development Authority, and Engineer Abdel Muttalib Amara – Governor of Luxor –on a field tour It included laying the foundation stone for a number of new development projects.
The tour included laying the foundation stone for the project to establish a craft workshop complex in Manshiyet Al-Nuba in Al-Toud Center, on an area of 10 acres, and the first phase includes 30 workshops out of a total of 86 workshops, with the aim of developing craft industries and providing a safe and organized work environment for craftsmen.
The foundation stone was also laid for the project to establish a tomato paste production complex in the Austrian village in the Esna Center, located on an area of 6 acres. acres, to maximize the added value of the tomato crop and support the food industries in the governorate.
During the tour, Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Moneim, head of the Upper Egypt Development Authority, confirmed that the new projects come within the framework of the authority’s plan to implement the state’s vision to support industrial and agricultural development in the governorates of Upper Egypt, and to maximize the benefit from the natural and economic components that Luxor Governorate enjoys.
He pointed out that these projects represent an important step towards achieving integration between agricultural and industrial production chains, by transforming agricultural crops. To products with high added value, which contribute to providing real job opportunities for youth and supporting the local economy, stressing that the Authority continues to expand development projects in partnership with the governorates and the private sector.
For his part, Engineer Abdel Muttalib Amara, Governor of Luxor, expressed his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with the Upper Egypt Development Authority, praising its role in implementing vital projects that directly affect the needs of citizens. He explained that the governorate is working to create an attractive climate for industrial and agricultural investment, and to provide all the necessary facilities to complete projects that contribute to improving the standard of living of citizens and providing sustainable job opportunities, stressing that what is being implemented today reflects the state’s serious approach towards developing Upper Egypt as a promising region for investment and production.
