المملكة: Requiring drivers transporting hazardous materials to undergo a vocational qualification program, starting in September 2026 – Urgent
declared The General Authority for Transport, today, Sunday, announced the launch of a professional qualification program for drivers transporting hazardous materials, in a step aimed at enhancing safety and security standards in the sector.
The Authority explained that the mandatory implementation of this program will begin as of September 1, 2026, giving companies and workers in the field an adequate opportunity to adjust their situations.
Approved training centers
It indicated that the program aims to ensure the highest safety standards are achieved, and raise the efficiency of workers in the Land transport, which enhances the level of safety, especially when transporting hazardous materials on roads.
The Transport Authority called on establishments and drivers to view the list of approved training centers to implement this program, by visiting the “Logistics” electronic platform.
