“Tamkeen” signs a cooperation agreement with the world leader StartupBootcamp to support emerging technology institutions

The Labor Fund “Tamkeen” announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with StartupBootcamp, one of the leading global companies in the field of business acceleration, with the aim of supporting emerging technical institutions specialized in the field of artificial intelligence in the Kingdom of Bahrain, thus contributing to strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a regional center for entrepreneurship and innovation.

This came on the sidelines of the “Gulf Gateway 2025” forum, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in its third edition, which runs from November 2 to 3, 2025. There will be cooperation with StartupBootcamp to launch the Artificial Intelligence Accelerator program (AI Accelerator), presented by the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”.

The program provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to build and develop projects based on artificial intelligence technologies, starting from the idea stage until offering products ready for sale in the market, which contributes to strengthening the system of innovation and technical growth in the Kingdom.

The program offers a boot camp in the field of artificial intelligence and data-driven business models, providing participants with the technical knowledge and strategic insights that enable them to develop innovative and scalable solutions. The program also gives participants the opportunity to benefit from a wide network of partners and experts in the sector, in addition to obtaining specialized guidance and direction, in addition to investment opportunities in promising projects to ensure their growth and sustainability.

This cooperation comes in line with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for the year 2025, which are to enhance the position and competitiveness of the Bahraini citizen in the private sector, and provide Bahrainis with the appropriate skills for career development in the private sector, in addition to giving priority to the growth, digitization and sustainability of institutions.

On this occasion, Maha Abdel Hamid Mafeez, CEO of the Tamkeen Labor Fund, said: “We are pleased to cooperate with the world-leading StartupBootcamp company, which has proven over the past years its ability to empower promising startups in the field of artificial intelligence, by accelerating their business and expertise in this growing sector.”

Based on this, Tamkeen continues its commitment to supporting these local talents and providing them with the necessary resources to achieve their entrepreneurial ambitions and contribute effectively to the development of the national economy.”

For his part, Carsten Kolbeck, co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Startupbootcamp, commented: “We are pleased to cooperate with Tamkeen to enhance the technology sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Mr. Hani Murad, Regional CEO of Startupbootcamp and Rainmaking, added: “We are pleased to cooperate with Tamkeen to enhance the technical sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as the program aims to qualify 160 Bahraini entrepreneurs and 80 products ready for sale during the next three years. Through this cooperation, we will allocate direct investments worth 4 million US dollars to support promising projects.

The program will also provide participants with the opportunity to communicate with an elite group of global experts and mentors in the field of artificial intelligence, and launch their pioneering projects, in addition to providing the possibility of obtaining direct investments that enable them to expand the scope of their business and develop their projects.”

StartupBootcamp is considered one of the most prominent business accelerator platforms in Europe, as it has more than 80 business accelerators, covering four continents around the world.

Since its founding in 2010, it has succeeded in graduating more than 180 batches of entrepreneurs and launching 1,800 start-up companies, with a total funding exceeding 3.2 billion US dollars, making it one of the most prominent global bodies supporting the growth and expansion of emerging technology institutions.
