Mutee receives the President of the Japanese JICA to discuss the development of judo in Egypt

Mohamed Motie, President of the Egyptian Judo Federation, Assistant Secretary-General of the Egyptian Olympic Committee and member of the Executive Office of the African Judo Federation, received Mr. Tanaka Akuhikwa, President of the JICA International Authority, during his visit to the Olympic Center in Maadi. During the meeting, ways of joint cooperation between the Federation and JICA in supporting and developing the sport of judo in Egypt were discussed.
The JICA President also followed part of the training of the national judo team, led by the Japanese coach Izumi and the Japanese volunteer. Shinatsuwa at the Olympic Center in Maadi, in preparation for his participation in the Solidarity Championship in Saudi Arabia and the Grand Prix tournaments.
During the meeting, Mohamed Motie praised the important role played by JICA in enhancing training programs and developing the players’ capabilities, stressing the federation’s keenness to benefit from international expertise to achieve the best results and raise Egypt’s name high in the upcoming international tournaments.
During the meeting, the President of JICA expressed his great appreciation for the efforts made by the Egyptian Judo Federation, noting JICA’s keenness to strengthen training programs and exchange experiences between the two countries to achieve the best results at the regional and international levels.
He added: “I am honored to come with you and participate in this historic event, the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which reflects and enhances Egypt’s great legacy. Bonds of cultural and sports cooperation between our two countries.
