Austrian Foreign Minister: I am proud to represent my country in the historic opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum

Austrian Foreign Minister, Beate Meinel Reisinger, expressed her pride in participating in the ceremonial opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, representing her country in this global cultural event that was held in Cairo last Saturday evening.

The minister said, in a post on the “X” platform; (Formerly Twitter): “I had the honor of attending the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, and representing Austria at this historical moment, amidst the high international attendance. Everyone felt proud and proud of the importance of this event, especially for us in Austria, as the Austrian researcher Dr. Irene Fürstner Müller made a great contribution to the museum through her archaeological work and participation in the excavations of Tel El Dabaa.”

The Austrian Minister’s statement comes after her participation in the opening ceremony. The Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, which witnessed the presence of a number of Arab and European kings, presidents, and leaders, in a ceremony described as one of the largest cultural celebrations in the world, and represents a global message about Egypt’s restoration of its cultural and tourism leadership.

The Minister published pictures of herself from inside the museum, especially a picture of her next to the statue of Ramses II in the great foyer of the Grand Museum Square.
