The death of an Egyptian fencing player

A state of sadness prevailed in the Egyptian sports community after the fencing team player, Omar Abdel Qawi.
The Egyptian Fencing Federation, headed by Tariq Al-Husseini, announced its official obituary for the deceased, stating: “The board of directors of the Egyptian Fencing Federation, the members of the council, the executive director, and all employees of the federation mourn with sincere sadness and sorrow the death of the player Omar Abdel Qawi, the Egyptian national fencing player.”
The statement added: “The Union extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, praying to God Almighty to cover him with His vast mercy, and to inspire his family with patience and solace. May God have mercy on the deceased, and make him dwell in His vast Paradise. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”
