"Noatum Marine" Signing a 5-year agreement to provide navigation services for the liquefied natural gas terminal in Bahrain

ABU DHABI, 5 November / WAM / Notom Marine, operating under the umbrella of the maritime and shipping sector of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, today announced the signing of a five-year strategic agreement with Bapco Exploration and Production Company, a subsidiary of the Bahraini Bapco Energies Group.
Under the agreement, Notom Marine Services will provide comprehensive navigation support to the Bahrain LNG Terminal, located near Khalifa Bin Salman Port, which represents one of the basic pillars of ensuring clean and reliable energy supplies to the Kingdom.
This agreement represents a strategic entry for Notom Marine into the Qatar LNG tanker sector, and comes as a continuation of its growing series of activities in Bahrain since the beginning of the year, in line with its strategy to expand the scope of its operations regionally.
The services provided will include towing operations using high-performance marine tugs compatible with LNG vessel standards, in addition to berthing and sailing services for tankers and floating storage units, emergency response services and 24-hour backup support.
On this occasion, Captain Ammar Mubarak Al Shaiba, CEO of the maritime and shipping sector at Abu Dhabi Ports Group, said that the agreement confirms the experience of “Notom Marine” and embodies its strategic entry into the Qatari LNG tanker sector.
He added: This achievement is an important step in our efforts to diversify and expand the scope of our operations, and by enhancing our capabilities in liquefied natural gas stations, we are opening new horizons for fruitful cooperation.
Johan Pleininger, CEO of Bapco Exploration and Production Company, said that the agreement represents a milestone in efforts to strengthen Bahrain’s energy infrastructure and ensure the diversification of natural gas supplies.
He stressed that the partnership with Notom Marine provides world-class maritime capabilities to support operations at the LNG terminal, which enhances the commitment to operational excellence, safety and sustainability.
