"Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism" Strengthens its cooperation with "Amadeus" To support the sustainable growth of the tourism sector in the emirate

ABU DHABI, 6 November / WAM / The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi announced the renewal and strengthening of its cooperation with Amadeus, the global provider of travel solutions and technologies, in support of the sustainable growth of the tourism sector in the emirate, during its participation in the activities of the World Travel Market exhibition in London.

This cooperation, through Amadeus Digital Media, aims to increase the number of visitors to Abu Dhabi via Amadeus platforms by more than 60% compared to the previous year, and witnesses the launch of digital campaigns supported by artificial intelligence technologies targeting potential visitors searching for their next holiday destinations, with a special focus on a new audience of travelers who have never visited the emirate.

This initiative provides bridges for direct communication with a larger and more diverse audience, and raises the levels of holiday reservations in Abu Dhabi, thus contributing to stimulating the work of partners in the tourism sector in the emirate, including hotel establishments and travel agents.

His Excellency Saleh Mohammed Al Jaziri, Director General of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said that the extended partnership with Amadeus achieves many positive results, as it gives the department an effective platform to highlight the diversity of Abu Dhabi’s inspiring cultural and tourism experiences, and present them to travelers around the world.

He added that this cooperation represents a pivotal step within the department’s efforts to achieve the ambitious goals of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Strategy 2030. It seeks to employ Amadeus technologies and its presence in international markets, to attract more visitors and enhance awareness of Abu Dhabi as an exceptional destination in promising new markets.

The cooperation includes organizing thoughtful campaigns that focus on addressing various segments of travelers, introducing them to the emirate, its ancient cultural heritage, its landmarks and wonderful family experiences, and the unique adventures and stunning beaches it provides.

Jean Tissera, Head of Global Accounts and Operations for Tourist Destinations in the Hospitality Sector at Amadeus, said that the cooperation with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi embodies the commitment of both sides to shape the future of the travel sector by relying on data-based analyzes and innovative technologies.

He added that the combination of Amadeus technologies, its in-depth knowledge of the markets and the department’s vision, enhances the accuracy and efficiency of communication methods with visitors, allowing the way to design experiences that are in line with their interests and exceed their expectations, and that this cooperation paves the way for Abu Dhabi’s engagement with a larger audience, in conjunction with establishing new standards of tourism excellence, ensuring the provision of exceptional, “unforgettable” experiences that meet the aspirations of international travelers.

The renewal of cooperation between the department and Amadeus comes as an extension of a long track record of successful joint marketing campaigns over the past years, which have contributed to increasing the number of visitors to the emirate and consolidating its position on the map of leading global destinations.
