Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed meets with a number of Emirati students on scholarship at Chinese universities
ABU DHABI, 7 November, 2017 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, met with a number of Emirati students sent to study in a number of Chinese universities, on the sidelines of His Highness’s visit to the People’s Republic of China to participate in the “China International Import Expo 2025” in Shanghai.
During the meeting, His Highness reviewed the students’ experiences and their academic career in various specializations, and listened to their opinions regarding the educational and research programs provided by Chinese universities.
His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the wise leadership gives its children studying around the world all the care and attention, and continues to enable them to seize scientific and knowledge opportunities in the most prestigious universities and international centers, to be a vital pillar and an effective contributor to the process of development and progress that the UAE is witnessing in various fields, stressing that investing in national competencies is the most important and most sustainable investment, as it is the way to build a solid and prosperous future. For the UAE, and achieving its ambitious vision of leadership and innovation.
His Highness urged the students to make diligence a permanent approach, and to benefit to the maximum extent from the academic and research experiences offered by international universities, stressing that the knowledge and experience they acquire is a valuable national asset, which contributes, through their awareness and work, to advancing the country’s march towards excellence and leadership, and consolidating its prestigious position on the global level.
The students expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership for its continuous support and interest in following up on their affairs and providing them with all the ingredients for success. At the same time, they expressed their deep thanks to His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his personal follow-up of the students, meeting with them, and getting to know their scientific aspirations and academic ambitions, stressing their keenness to represent their country well and achieve excellence in their academic career.
