The UAE hosts the 2026 Asian Archery Cup

Dhaka, November 9 / WAM / The UAE, represented by the UAE Archery Federation, won the hosting of the 2026 Asian Youth Archery Championship, in the city of Khor Fakkan.

The announcement of the UAE bid’s victory came during the General Assembly meeting of the “Congress” of the Asian Arch and Arrow Federation, yesterday evening in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, on the sidelines of the continental championship currently being held until November 14, with the participation of our national team.

The delegation of the UAE Bow and Arrow Federation at the meeting included His Excellency Hanadi Khalifa Al Kabouri, President of the Federation, Humaid Al Shamsi, Vice President of the Federation, and Hind Al Hosani, Secretary-General.

The UAE bid outperformed a number of nominated files from Asian countries, with a majority of votes, thanks to the integrated infrastructure, advanced sports facilities, and high-level organizational and logistical capabilities that qualify it to host continental and international championships.

Her Excellency Hanadi Khalifa Al-Kabouri confirmed that the confidence of the member states in the AFC translates into unlimited support from the wise leadership of the sports sector, and the efforts of the Ministry of Sports to empower federations and enhance their capabilities in organizing and hosting sporting events.

She said that hosting the 2026 Asian Youth Championship is a qualitative milestone in the federation’s journey, and the result of institutional work and continuous efforts to develop national teams, hone promising talents, and prepare qualified technical and administrative cadres.
