The UAE-Chad Investment and Trade Forum kicks off tomorrow in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, 9 November / WAM / The UAE-Chad Investment and Trade Forum will kick off tomorrow in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of more than 2,000 participants, ministers, officials, investors, and a number of official delegations headed by African heads of government.
The organization of the forum comes within the framework of strengthening investment and trade relations between the UAE and the Republic of Chad, as it witnesses the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding between the two sides in the fields of infrastructure, energy, agriculture, agribusiness, logistics and financial services.
The forum addresses ways to expand the horizons of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and discusses promising opportunities in the sectors of mineral resources, energy, responsible development of companies, partnerships, and agricultural and food value chains, in addition to water and electricity projects, infrastructure, large-scale development financing, transportation corridors, and logistical services, including railways, ports, and airlines, as well as digital transformation, development of fiber networks, digital services, human capital development, education, health, tourism, cultural exchange, and joint investment opportunities.
The forum will also witness the official launch of the National Development Plan – Chad 2030 from the UAE under the title “Chad Connection 2030”, which targets investments worth 30 billion US dollars in multiple fields including infrastructure, energy, agriculture and education.
The forum includes five main sessions, including: “Critical minerals and hydrocarbon resources – development engines… resource valorization and growth promotion… industrial attractiveness, water and electricity… and Chad on the path – communication, transportation, logistics and infrastructure… and investment in human capital and emerging technologies.”
