Fujairah Police confirms the success of preventive plans in maintaining the safety of society during the weather condition

FUJAIRAH, 1st April, 2017 (WAM) – The Fujairah Police General Command confirmed the success of its preventive plans in dealing with the air depression that the country witnessed during the period from 20 to 28 last March, which contributed to preserving the safety of community members and property, and enhancing the efficiency of the field response in various regions of the emirate.
His Excellency Major General Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police and head of the Crisis, Disaster and Emergency Team in the emirate, said that the command implemented an integrated proactive plan, which included deploying more than 40 police patrols on internal and external roads, vital intersections, and tunnels, in addition to intensifying field presence near valleys and areas where rainwater collects, with the aim of enhancing public safety and preventing the public from approaching dangerous sites, with continuous monitoring of the situation around the clock.
He pointed out that the success of these plans came as a result of effective coordination and continuous integration with the concerned authorities, which contributed to ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and dealing promptly with various developments during the weather situation.
His Excellency praised the efforts of all local authorities, departments and strategic partners, praising the level of cooperation and coordination that contributed to achieving a rapid and effective response, stressing that this integration reflects the spirit of one team and enhances the efficiency of crisis and emergency management.
For its part, the Fujairah Police General Command praised the awareness of community members and their commitment to preventive guidelines and instructions, because of their pivotal role in supporting field efforts and enhancing public safety levels, stressing its continued development of emergency plans and raising levels of preparedness, in a way that enhances the security and safety system and keeps pace with best practices in crisis management.
