Schubert: Pyramids, the first candidate to win the title, came in last place in the Super Cup
The journalist Ahmed Schubert said that the first candidate to win the Egyptian Super Cup exited the tournament in last place, in reference to the Pyramids team, which exited the competition without any victory.
During his radio program with Schubert on “On Sport FM” radio, today, Monday, Schubert commented on Ceramica Cleopatra’s victory in third place after defeating Pyramids, praising the remarkable level they achieved. The team presented it in the tournament hosted by the UAE from November 6 to 9.
Schubert praised the performance of Ceramica Cleopatra, which was founded in 2007 and is currently at the top of the Premier League table under the leadership of its coach, Captain Ali Maher, pointing out that the team is distinguished by discipline and professionalism and may achieve the surprise by winning the league title this season.
In the same context, Al-Ahly clinched the Egyptian Super Cup title for the sixteenth time in its history after its victory over Zamalek scored two goals without a response in the final match that brought them together on Sunday evening.
It is noteworthy that the organizing committee of the Egyptian Super Cup 2025 announced, yesterday, Sunday, that the number of followers of the tournament exceeded one billion followers across the social media platforms and channels broadcasting the event, explaining that the version hosted by Abu Dhabi is the most followed in the history of the tournament.
The Egyptian Super Cup match had witnessed a dazzling ceremony before its start, which came in line with the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum this month, where it was presented Show performances embodying the Pharaonic civilization and the pyramids, followed by popular singing, and singers Omar Kamal and Mahmoud Al-Laithi performed a concert at halftime, amid great interaction from the audience at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.
