The Minister of Health discusses with the Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina joint cooperation files

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received Dr. Dubravka Bosnjak, Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to discuss ways of cooperation between the two sides on a number of health files of mutual interest.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, invited his counterpart in the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina to attend the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development, scheduled to be held in The period from November 12-15, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in order to learn closely about the Egyptian experience in developing the health sector, discuss global issues related to health, population and human development, and exchange experiences and visions between the participating countries.

 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the meeting discussed the exchange of experiences in the field of comprehensive health insurance, where the minister reviewed Egypt’s experience in implementing the comprehensive health insurance system, and what it has achieved. Of positive results in terms of providing services and improving the quality of health care.

 

Abdul Ghaffar noted: The Minister stressed that the health sector overlaps with many other fields, which directly reflects on achieving an economic return, by raising productivity and improving the quality of life, stressing that investment in health is an investment in comprehensive development.

 

«Abdul Ghaffar» pointed out: The two sides discussed exchanging experiences in the field of the pharmaceutical industry, as the minister stressed that Egypt has succeeded in localizing the pharmaceutical industry by 92%, and work is underway to localize the oncology drug industry and some other vital products, as it has begun  Egypt  In exporting its pharmaceutical products to African countries, the two sides also discussed opportunities to export Egyptian medicine to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the minister pointed out that Egyptian medicines are approved by the World Health Organization, and have reached the third stage of maturity in manufacturing.

 

Abdul Ghaffar pointed out: The meeting touched on the exchange of experiences in the field of digital health transformation, where the Minister reviewed the state’s efforts in implementing the telemedicine system, and work is also underway to digitize medical files and link hospitals and health units, which contributes to improving the efficiency of service provision and ensuring their sustainability.

 

The two sides also discussed exchanging experiences in health initiatives, especially in the areas of screening and early detection of chronic diseases.
