The UAE sends a fifth aid plane to support those affected by the Afghanistan earthquake
Abu Dhabi, November 10 / WAM / The UAE continues its efforts to provide relief to those affected by the earthquake that struck northern Afghanistan.
So far, the UAE has sent 5 planes loaded with 5,400 food baskets weighing 135 tons, in order to provide support and assistance to those affected by the repercussions of the earthquake.
The fifth plane arrived – within the past 24 hours – carrying food parcels to provide aid to those affected and mitigate the effects of the disaster on the afflicted families.
The UAE’s efforts in Afghanistan relief reflect its firm humanitarian approach and its constant keenness to support people affected by disasters around the world, which makes it a global model in integrated humanitarian relief work, and confirms its commitment to solidarity with the various peoples of the world, in times of crisis.
