“Ajman Executive” approves the general principles of the human resources law development project

In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, the Council adopted the general principles of the project to develop the human resources law for the Ajman government, in a strategic step aimed at aligning government work policies with the goals of Ajman Vision 2030, enhancing the quality of life of the government employee and his family, and establishing an attractive institutional environment that balances life and work.
This came during a session of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ajman, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, as part of the annual meetings of the UAE government 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
The project includes the creation and development of a comprehensive family leave system to support the family and parents, including care for children or first-degree relatives, maternity, paternity and marriage leaves, in addition to Iddah and mourning leaves, care for people with disabilities, and flexibility in working hours for pregnant employees and employees with parents who support five or more children, in a way that enhances family cohesion and achieves a balance between the requirements of work and social life.
The law adopts flexible work patterns that suit the needs of government agencies and the nature of jobs, by granting the employee flexible weekly working hours distributed throughout the week without being restricted by specific daily working hours, in addition to adopting remote work models inside and outside the country, in a way that ensures raising productivity, improving job satisfaction, and building a sustainable work culture.
The draft law also establishes an inclusive work environment for people of determination, by obliging government agencies to provide an environment equipped for them, and provide them with the necessary aids and tools to perform their tasks, in addition to reducing daily working hours, and protecting an employee with a disability from termination of service due to his fixed health condition upon appointment.
The draft law emphasizes the importance of establishing a culture of institutional quality of life and achieving balance between work and life, in a way that enhances the mental health of employees, raises levels of happiness, satisfaction and productivity, and creates a positive and sustainable work environment.
