المملكة: The Governor of Qatif reviews an initiative "Mangrove honey" And preparations for the Eastern Shrimp Festival 2025
He met with the Governor of Qatif, Abdullah bin Ali Al-Saif, today, Monday, in Governorate Headquarters, Director General of the Branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Eastern Region, Engineer Fahd bin Ahmed Al-Hamzi, in the presence of a number of branch employees.
During the meeting, Al-Saif was briefed on the most prominent development initiatives and programs implemented by the Ministry in the Governorate, including production "Mangrove honey" Which aims to Enhancing the economic value of coastal plants and developing bee products, stressing the importance of supporting such qualitative initiatives that contribute to raising the quality of local production and achieving agricultural and environmental diversity within the framework of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Sharqiya Shrimp Festival 2025
Al-Hamzi reviewed the ongoing preparations for the launch of the Sharqiya Shrimp Festival 2025 in its fourth edition, which is organized by the Ministry’s branch in the Eastern Region during the period from November 20 to 26. 2025 AD, stressing that the festival aims to highlight the region’s excellence in shrimp production and its role in supporting National food security and the development of the marine economy.
During the meeting, Al-Saif praised the efforts of the Ministry’s branch in developing the agricultural and fishery sectors, appreciating its development initiatives that contribute to the sustainability of natural resources and enhancing food security, stressing that Qatif Governorate possesses promising marine and agricultural components that deserve investment and development in line with national development goals.
Sustainable support from the leadership
He stressed Al-Saif said that the wise leadership – may God support it – gives unlimited support and care to this vital sector, in a way that enhances its sustainability and enables the beneficiaries and workers in it to make optimal use of its natural resources and develop their productive capabilities in a way that serves the nation and the citizen.
He pointed out the diligent follow-up and continuous care that this sector enjoys from His Royal Highness the Emir of the Eastern Province, and His Highness his deputy – may God protect them -, who give special attention to the agricultural and marine development programs in the region and continuous support to enhance Its efficiency and sustainability are in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership – may God support it -, stressing that this generous support constitutes a great incentive to continue work in developing the agricultural and marine sectors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Engineer Al-Hamzi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Governor of Qatif for his continuous interest and support, praising his permanent cooperation with the Ministry’s branch and his diligent follow-up of everything that would achieve sustainable development in the governorate.
