The President and the British Prime Minister discuss efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a phone call from Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, during which they discussed various aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance it in a way that serves their mutual interests. They stressed their keenness to continue joint work and build on the historical relations that bring together the UAE and the United Kingdom in a way that brings development to their peoples and enhances the causes of stability and peace in the Middle East region and the world.

During the call, the two sides also discussed the developments taking place in the region and the efforts made to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, stressing the necessity of maintaining the ceasefire in the Strip and continuing the flow of humanitarian relief aid in sufficient quantities and without obstacles to alleviate the suffering experienced by its residents.

The two sides stressed the importance of pushing steadily towards the path of permanent and just peace based on the “two-state solution” as it is the way to achieve stability in the region and build a better future for all its peoples and countries.
