The Prime Minister follows up on developments in the application and implementation of the free trade agreements that were signed

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To follow up on developments in the application and implementation of the free trade agreements that were signed, in the presence of Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Yasser Sobhi, Deputy Minister of Finance for Financial Policies, Rami Abul Naga, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Engineer Mohamed Al-Suwaidi, President of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, and officials from a number of concerned authorities, with the participation of Ahmed Kajouk, Minister of Finance, via technology. Video conference.
Counselor Mohamed Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated that the meeting reviewed the position of implementing the free trade agreements that Egypt signed during the last period with a number of parties, whether at the bilateral level or those multilateral agreements, pointing out that in this regard, reference was made to the role of these agreements in supporting and strengthening aspects of cooperation and economic relations between many brotherly and friendly countries, and increasing the volume and movement of intra-trade between these countries, which reflects positively on economic rates. And it contributes to achieving further improvement in economic growth rates, and in relation to the trade balance index, which reflects the country’s ability to compete in many global markets.
Counsel Muhammad Al-Homsani noted that during the meeting, reference was made to the role of free trade agreements in enhancing efforts to support and localize the local industry, as well as enhancing its access to many global markets.
