"Kalimat Foundation" Launches a collection of artistic products to support children’s knowledge and reading in Tunisia

Sharjah, 11 November / WAM / The Kalimat Foundation, in the presence of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, founder and president of the Foundation, launched a collection of exclusive artistic products in cooperation with the international French-Tunisian artist “El Cid”, aiming to invest its entire proceeds in supporting the efforts of the “Adopt a Library” initiative led by the Foundation to support knowledge and reading for children in Tunisia.
This came during a ceremony held at Bait Al Lawal in Sharjah in the presence of the Board of Trustees of the Kalimat Foundation and a group of senior figures and media and artistic figures who support humanitarian work and artistic creativity.
During the ceremony, the Foundation unveiled a range of products that include fashion, stationery and accessories inspired by the art of “calligraffiti”, which the artist “El Seed” is famous for, which combines traditional Arabic calligraphy with contemporary art to carry messages of unity, hope and understanding between cultures. The artist is known internationally for his ability to transform murals and public spaces into expressive artistic paintings and monumental works in cities such as London, Paris and Dubai.
This cooperation embodies the Kalimat Foundation’s vision of sustaining humanitarian work and employing art to serve noble causes, as the “Adopt a Library” initiative is one of the Foundation’s most prominent global humanitarian initiatives, which aims to provide mobile libraries, each containing 100 books in the Arabic language, for children in communities affected by conflict, displacement, or limited resources, thus ensuring their right to read and access books.
Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi said: Every time we gather for children, we affirm that empathy is still the force capable of bringing about positive change in the world. The Kalimat Foundation believes in its mission to reach children who may be overlooked by circumstances and to guarantee their right to read, learn, and dream of a better future. This cooperation with the artist “El Seed” embodies the power of creative partnerships in transforming visions into a sustainable impact. The aesthetics of his art express the values of identity, language, and belonging, and these are the same values that we cherish at the Kalimat Foundation and through this cooperation. We make a promise that more children will hold books in their hands and discover a world of opportunity and inspiration.
For his part, the artist “El Seed” said that working with the Kalimat Foundation goes beyond artistic creativity and uses art as a means of positive influence and social change. Through this cooperation, we aspire to combine culture, learning, empathy and compassion and enable children to see the world with an eye of curiosity and imagination. Facilitating access to knowledge not only inspires young people, but also establishes a generation capable of reshaping their reality and building a better future for their societies.
Since its launch, the “Adopt a Library” initiative has succeeded in distributing more than 180 mobile libraries, benefiting more than 100,000 children in 27 countries, in partnership with international institutions and organizations. The entire proceeds from sales of cooperation products with “El Seed” are allocated to support the “Adopt a Library” initiative and enabling children in Tunisia to access stories and knowledge resources.
