"CNN"Britain suspends sharing some intelligence with Washington

Informed sources told CNN: The American newspaper said that the United Kingdom has suspended sharing intelligence information with the United States regarding ships suspected of drug trafficking in the Caribbean Sea because it does not want to become a partner in the strikes launched by the American military against these ships, as it believes that these raids are illegal.
The sources reported – according to “CNN” Today, Tuesday – that the United Kingdom, which controls a number of territories in the Caribbean and has intelligence assets, has helped the United States for years to locate ships suspected of transporting drugs so that the US Coast Guard can intercept them, by stopping those ships, boarding them, arresting their crew, and confiscating the drugs.
The channel pointed out that this intelligence information is usually sent to a task force stationed in the state of “Florida.” It includes representatives from several partner countries and works to reduce the illicit drug trade.
It explained that following the United States’ start launching deadly raids against drug trafficking boats last September, concern has grown in the United Kingdom about the possibility of Washington using intelligence provided by London to identify its targets.
The channel’s sources reported that British officials believe that the American strikes – which resulted in… 76 people killed – a violation of international law; Pointing out that the suspension of sharing intelligence information began more than a month ago.
