Spain tops the nominations.. “Opta” publishes artificial intelligence predictions for the 2026 World Cup champion

The Opta statistics platform published its predictions for the teams nominated to win the 2026 World Cup, which it arrived at using artificial intelligence.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico with the participation of 48 teams, between June 11 and July 19.
The platform said that Spain tops the list of candidates to win the title with a percentage of 15.83%, then France with a percentage of 12.77%, then Argentina and England with a percentage of 10%, and Portugal with a percentage of 6.92%.
The prediction process was carried out by feeding a “supercomputer” with the clubs’ data, to predict their results by conducting thousands of simulations of the scenarios that await them until the final match.
