Washington calls on NATO countries to stop buying Russian oil

The United States of America called on NATO countries to stop purchasing Russian oil and energy products, in order to help end the war in Ukraine, which led to increased pressure on members of the alliance, such as Turkey, despite it reducing its purchase bill, according to Bloomberg News Agency, yesterday.
Bloomberg quoted a statement from the US State Department, saying that US Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio conveyed that message during a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan the day before yesterday.
Türkiye is the third largest buyer of Russian oil after China and India.
