The foreign ministers of America, Turkey and Syria discuss combating terrorism


met US Secretary of StateMarco Rubio, his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Al-Shaibani, and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, in a tripartite meeting that followed the historic visit of Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa to the White House.

The principal deputy spokesman for the US State Department, Tommy Piggott, said that the three ministers discussed opportunities to enhance regional security and stability, in addition to joint efforts toFighting terrorism.

Rubio affirmed US President Donald Trump’s commitment to supporting the aspirations of the Syrian people towards peace and prosperity, stressing the importance of regional partnership in supporting reconstruction efforts in Syria.
