Japan hopes that the Iraqi elections will pave the way for a new government and lasting stability

Japan welcomed the holding of the sixth elections for the Iraqi House of Representatives, which took place on November 11 with relative calm.

 

Japanese government spokesman, Toshihiro Kitamura, expressed, today, Wednesday, in a statement, his country’s hope that the process of confirming the election results will proceed fairly, peacefully and quickly, and that a new government will be formed as soon as possible.

Kitamura added that Japan is looking forward to These elections contribute to enhancing stability and development in Iraq.
