Nahyan bin Mubarak opens the “National Tolerance Festival” in Abu Dhabi on Friday

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, will inaugurate, Friday evening, the events, programs and activities of the National Festival for Tolerance and Coexistence in its seventh session, which is organized by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence during the period from 14 to 18 of this November at Umm Al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi.
This year, China is participating as the festival’s guest of honor, while the new edition is keen to ensure that its activities reach all segments of Emirati society, including citizens and residents, families and children, school and university students, and all institutions.
This year, the festival focuses on activities related to the Year of Society and takes the slogan “Hand in Hand” as the main slogan for all its activities, in addition to activities related to the global message of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood, which carry the lofty goals of the festival to all segments of society with their various cultures, languages and beliefs.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan is leading the tolerance march, which is titled “The March of Tolerance towards Mars,” with the participation of a large number of thinkers and officials, and a number of ambassadors of countries to the UAE, in addition to all segments of society.
This year, the festival also includes more than 49 pavilions showcasing the activities, performances, and heritage collections provided by the ministry’s partners, including governmental and private institutions and embassies of brotherly and friendly countries, making it a unique global and national event, through which the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence promotes the values of empathy, dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and acceptance of others, in addition to the national identity corner, which bears the title “An Identity Open to the World,” which includes an exhibition of books published by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and Sandooq Al Watan, in addition to cultural and artistic cognitive activities offered to children. and families, focusing on authentic Emirati values. It also includes the “Tolerance Mural,” which more than 15 Emirati and international visual artists participated in, and addresses the role of the arts in promoting the values of tolerance.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak said, in a statement on this occasion: “The festival is an annual national occasion through which we celebrate the International Day for Tolerance, through activities and initiatives that promote the values of tolerance, coexistence, human brotherhood and respect for others,” pointing out that the festival is an opportunity to introduce the Emirati experience in tolerance, in addition to reviewing other global experiences, which focus on celebrating and taking pride in the values of coexistence, peace and cooperation among all.
He added that the festival also focuses on everything that the words and deeds of the late founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, represent, as a unique human, national and global model of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood, which is the path followed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, so that the UAE can be a model and role model regionally and globally in promoting peaceful coexistence among people and calling for the good of all people. place.
He welcomed the participation of the friendly People’s Republic of China in the festival’s activities as a guest of honor this year, stressing his pride in the participation of all global cultures in this great event that embodies images of communication, acquaintance and dialogue between different nations and peoples under one umbrella entitled tolerance and coexistence among people, appreciating the role of the partners of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence from the local, federal and international institutions that are participating in the event this year.
He explained that one of the most important factors for the success of this festival is that its message reaches everyone, whether through traditional and modern media, which we consider to be a major partner in all the activities organized by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, or through the heavy presence of all segments of society, including youth, children, and families, citizens and residents, and from different communities to follow lyrical, heritage, musical, and folkloric performances and other activities that reflect unity and community cohesion among all groups and embody the meanings and values of coexistence, tolerance, and human brotherhood in Abha.
