Palestinian National Council: The occupation forces are still present in 54% of the Gaza Strip

Dr. Tahseen Al-Astal, deputy head of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate and member of the Palestinian National Council, confirmed that the occupation forces are still present on 54% of the area of the Gaza Strip and administratively control the rest of the area of the Strip.

Dr. Al-Astal said – in a telephone interview with the Nile News Channel – “The occupation is only implementing 10% of the agreement to bring aid into the Gaza Strip, despite the fact that there is keenness and preparation.” An Egyptian call for the entry of all aid into the Gaza Strip according to what was agreed upon, as it was agreed that 600 trucks would be entered daily into the Gaza Strip, but the occupation does not allow the entry of more than 200 trucks and they are not among the basic needs of the Palestinian people.

He added that the occupation allows the entry of one type of food and deprives citizens of other necessary and necessary needs, which is a flagrant violation of the agreement, which stipulates providing the Gaza Strip with all necessary humanitarian aid. He explained that the Israeli occupation government is still obstructing the start of the second phase of the Trump plan despite all the pressures being exerted on it that do not rise to the real level that forces this government to continue implementing the remainder of the Sharm El-Sheikh agreements, noting that the government, in accordance with its well-known policy, will try to blame the Palestinian people in order to evade implementing the entitlements of the second phase on the ground.

He stressed that there are persistent Israeli efforts to obscure the truth, falsify reality, and practice systematic violence in all ways. The aspects and forms from which journalists are not spared so that the truth about the crimes committed against innocent Palestinians is not revealed, as the occupation, from the beginning of its aggression, relied on the war of the media narrative and tried to portray its state as the victim and reduce the extent of the crimes it committed against humanity by killing children and the elderly and destroying infrastructure and homes.

He stated that in order to hide the crime committed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the occupation prevented 3,335 foreign and Arab journalists from entering 821 American journalists entered the Gaza Strip, and the occupation forces also targeted Palestinian journalists who tried to transmit these crimes to the world, which led to the martyrdom of 254 journalists and activists, the injury of more than 500 journalists, and the displacement of 900 journalists from their homes. It also destroyed more than 155 media institutions and prevented all journalistic and media work tools from entering the Gaza Strip.
