Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid institutions celebrate "54th Union Day" Under the slogan "A homeland that made glory"

Al Ain, November 13 / WAM / Under the patronage and presence of Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, the institutions today organized the “Nation of Making Glory” festival to celebrate the “54th Union Day” of the United Arab Emirates.

The ceremony witnessed the participation of more than 300 students from Al Ain schools, and the presence of a number of government and private institutions, and members of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan’s cultural and educational institutions, in addition to the teams (Immortal Imprint, Zayed’s Heritage Legacy, and Entimaa Volunteering).

The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a speech by Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed, in which she expressed her pride in this day in which the meanings of belonging to a nation whose history was written in letters of light are renewed under the banner of the Union.

Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed recalled the fragrant march of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” and the founding fathers who instilled the values ​​of union and love, stressing that celebrating Union Day is a pause for reflection on the authentic Emirati identity and the values ​​of tolerance.

Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed also focused in her speech on the role of youth, and stressed that the glory of nations is not only measured by what they have inherited from the past, but also by what they create in the present, and by what they foresee in the future for their children as they are the true wealth, describing them as a natural extension of the founding values, and renewed the pledge and promise to preserve Zayed’s legacy and move forward in the path of glory.

The ceremony included heritage and artistic paintings, falconry performances, folk games (Yola and Razfa), and patriotic poems, with wide participation from schools.

The events concluded with honoring the participating entities: Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work, Almarai Company, Bait Al Qasid Omani Sweets, Labelle Chocolate Shops, and Al Farabi Medical Center, in addition to honoring students of determination at Sultan Bin Zayed School and all school administrations.
