74 horses participate in the second race at Jebel Ali Racecourse

Dubai, November 14 / WAM / The activities of the second race at Jebel Ali Racecourse will begin tomorrow with the participation of 74 horses competing in 7 rounds, 6 of which are dedicated to purebred hybrid horses, while the first half is allocated to purebred Arabian horses, with a total prize pool of 590 thousand dirhams.

The race is being held after the remarkable success achieved by the inaugural race two weeks ago, in light of the new developments witnessed by the track this season, including raising the total value of race prizes by 20%, and launching the “Daem” program, the first of its kind in the world, which aims to provide sustainable support to horse owners through an innovative incentive system.

The race program opens with the first round of the Porsche Cup, a distance of 1,000 metres, which is dedicated to purebred Arabian horses, with the participation of 16 horses and a total of 50 thousand dirhams in prizes.

The second half will be held on the Al Shafar Investment Stakes Cup, over a distance of 1,400 metres, with the participation of 11 horses competing for prizes worth 100,000 dirhams.

The third half will witness the participation of 8 two-year-old horses for a distance of 1,200 metres, with prizes amounting to 72 thousand dirhams, while 8 horses will compete in the fourth “Dubai Refreshments” for a distance of 1,000 metres, within the “Da’em” programme, with prizes amounting to 72 thousand dirhams.

As for the fifth round, the Jebel Ali Speed ​​Track Cup, it is considered the strongest of the evening, and is held for a distance of 1,000 meters with the participation of 9 horses competing for prizes worth 120 thousand dirhams.

The sixth round will witness the Emirates Airline Cup, for a distance of 1,800 metres, with the participation of 7 horses and prizes of 120,000 dirhams, before the evening concludes with the seventh round of the Al Awir Cup Handicap Stakes, for a distance of 1,950 metres, with the participation of 15 horses and prizes of 86,000 dirhams.
