Holding the National Swimming Competition for the Egyptian Special Olympics 2025

The activities of the National Swimming Competition for the Special Olympics Egypt 2025 were held during the period from 12 to 15 November this year, in the swimming pools complex at Cairo International Stadium, as part of preparations for participation in the regional games for the Special Olympics – UAE 2026, and the Special Olympics World Summer Games – Chile 2027.
The competition witnesses the participation of 791 athletes (234 female players, 557 male players) representing 96 bodies registered within the Egyptian Special Olympics program from various governorates of the Republic, in one of the largest swimming competitions organized annually by the Egyptian Special Olympics. The competition aims to select the Egyptian teams that will represent Egypt in the upcoming regional and international competitions, in accordance with the rules and policy of the Special Olympics International.
The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of Prominent sports figures, including Dr. Bassem Tohamy, National Director of the Egyptian Special Olympics, Captain Sameh El-Shazly, President of the Egyptian and African Diving and Rescue Federation and Vice President of the International Rescue Federation, Amr Mohy El-Din El-Tahawy, Deputy National Director, along with the technical and administrative bodies, representatives of participating bodies, and the families and families of the players.
