The Egyptian ambassador to Japan confirms the strength of relations between the two countries, which have witnessed a qualitative boom

Ambassador Raji El-Etreby, Egypt’s ambassador to Japan, stressed the strength of bilateral relations, which have witnessed a qualitative boom since the announcement of the strategic partnership in 2023. He pointed out that this framework represents a basis for strengthening coordination on various international issues, most notably respecting international law, supporting peace and security, and strengthening the capabilities of the multilateral system, which are all basic principles on which the ties between Cairo and Tokyo are based.
This came during the meeting in which The Egyptian Ambassador held it with Ambassador Kazuhiko Nakamura, Assistant Foreign Minister and Legal Advisor to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within the framework of the growing dynamism witnessed in Egyptian-Japanese relations, and the embassy’s keenness to expand the channels of dialogue between the two countries’ foreign ministries.
For his part, the Japanese Assistant Foreign Minister reviewed the results of his recent consultations in Cairo with the Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs and Treaties, stressing that they reflected a great rapprochement in The visions between the two countries regarding a number of important legal files, which require continued coordination. Gaza, providing humanitarian aid, and preparing for the reconstruction conference that Egypt will host soon, based on the outcomes of the peace summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, and Egypt’s permanent welcome of Japan’s active and positive role in the region.
