" Commando Group" She leads the junior and youth competitions in the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship

Abu Dhabi, November 17 / WAM / The activities of the sixth day of the seventeenth edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship continued today. The second day of the junior and youth competitions witnessed strong battles for blue and purple belts, amid wide participation of players from local and international clubs and academies.
The lead went to Commando Group Academy, while Al Jazira Club came in runner-up, and Al Ain Club came in third place.
The competitions were attended by Sheikh Zayed bin Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Excellency Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations, First Vice President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation; His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al Muhairi, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority; His Excellency Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation; His Excellency Arif Hamad Al Awani, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council; His Excellency Carlos Gardes, Deputy Consul General at the Brazilian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, and a number of officials from the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and government departments.
His Excellency Carlos Gardes said: “I am honored to be present in this distinguished tournament, which reflects the depth of the growing relations between the United Arab Emirates and Brazil. The UAE represents the first destination for thousands of Brazilian athletes who find in it an ideal environment for growth and feel that they are in their second homeland thanks to the support and hospitality they receive.”
He added: “Abu Dhabi has proven its exceptional ability to organize and host the largest international sporting events according to the highest standards, which makes it a subject of admiration and appreciation from all participants. There is no doubt that the generous hospitality and excellent organization experienced by everyone here constitute an essential factor in the success of this tournament year after year.”
Mansour Mohammed Al Dhaheri, a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation, confirmed that the seventeenth edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship year after year consolidates Abu Dhabi’s position as a global capital for this sport, with the qualitative gains it achieves at the sporting and societal levels. He said that the participation of more than 10,000 male and female players from 130 countries reflects the growing international confidence in Abu Dhabi’s organizational capabilities, and demonstrates the sustainability of excellence and dazzlement that has become a milestone for the tournament, in addition to the emergence of new talents that add momentum to the game’s progress locally and globally.
Al Dhaheri added that the tournament is consistent with the vision of the wise leadership to invest in new generations, by supporting a sport that enhances the values of discipline, focus, self-confidence and patience, which are essential values that contribute to building a generation capable of competing and creating the future.
The tournament will continue tomorrow with the start of the Masters category competitions, which is considered one of the important stations within the tournament program due to the high technical nature that distinguishes the players in this category. The fights are expected to witness high-level competitions that include an elite group of ranked players from different countries of the world.
