Flydubai signs a historic agreement to purchase 150 Airbus 321neo aircraft

Flydubai has signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus to purchase 150 A321neo aircraft, making it a new customer for Airbus.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Flydubai, signed the memorandum of understanding with Christian Scherer, CEO of Commercial Aircraft at Airbus, on the second day of the Dubai Airshow 2025.
Commenting on this important announcement, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of flydubai, said: “We are pleased to announce a historic agreement to purchase 150 Airbus 321neo aircraft, which represents another important milestone in flydubai’s journey. This new agreement is not limited to adding aircraft only, but supports the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and is also in line with With Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
This strategic addition diversifies our fleet of single-aisle aircraft and enhances our long-term expansion plans. This will enable Flydubai to play a major role in the success of Al Maktoum Airport’s expansion plans, which is expected to be the largest in the world.
The Airbus 321neo aircraft will support the next phase of our network development and enable us to meet the growing demand in our markets. We look forward to building a strong and lasting partnership between flydubai and Airbus.
The addition of the latest generation Airbus 321neo aircraft will also support flydubai’s network expansion strategy, allowing customers to reach new destinations with greater efficiency and comfort.
