"Abu Dhabi Marine Sports" Organizes the UAE Boat Championship "Formula4"
Abu Dhabi, November 18 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club announced the organization of the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship in its second round, with local and international participation.
The club confirmed in a statement today that the tournament will be held in the Corniche area in Abu Dhabi over the course of next Saturday and Sunday, under the supervision of the Emirates Marine Sports Federation, the follow-up of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and with the participation of elite competitors from the Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sudan, Italy, and Norway.
He explained that the competitions will begin next Saturday with the participation of more than 10 boats, with official trials and qualifying rounds, leading to the main race being held the next day and the champions being crowned.
The club stated that the equipment is in accordance with the highest international standards and the latest tracking, safety and arbitration technologies, ensuring that the event takes place in a manner befitting Abu Dhabi’s status and its distinguished history in organizing major tournaments.
Thani Al Qamzi, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi and Modern Sports Team, said that the launch of the Formula 4 Championship consolidates Abu Dhabi’s position as a global platform for modern boating sports, and highlights the UAE’s capabilities to lead the maritime scene regionally and globally.
Al Qamzi added that the two-day extension of the events gives the contestants an ideal opportunity to present the best levels, and allows the audience to follow competitions of international standards.
