Revealing the system of the African Nations Handball Championship "Rwanda 2026"

The African Handball Confederation revealed the system for the 2026 African Handball Championship scheduled to be held in Rwanda next January.
The draw for the tournament was held, which resulted in Egypt, the defending champion, falling into the second group with the teams of Angola, Gabon, and Uganda.

The tournament system will be as follows: a group round of one round, from which the first and second in each group will qualify for the main round, and the eight teams that qualify for the main round will be distributed into two groups.
The first group in the main round includes the first and runner-up of the first group and the first and runner-up of the second group.
The second group in the main round includes the first and runner-up of the third group and the first And runner-up in the fourth group.
The first and second from each group qualify for the semi-finals.
