"Ras Al Khaimah Transportation" The Department of Economic Development completed the electronic connectivity project

Ras Al Khaimah, 18 November / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority and the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development announced the completion of the electronic connectivity project in a step aimed at enhancing government integration, simplifying procedures and accelerating the customer’s journey, following the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two parties at the authority’s headquarters.

The agreement was signed by His Excellency Engineer Ismail Hassan Al Balushi, Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, and His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Shayeb Al Naqbi, Director General of the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah.

The agreement aims to enhance the efficiency of government services and facilitate the safe and rapid exchange of data and information electronically, thus contributing to simplifying licensing procedures, improving data accuracy, and ensuring the continuity of service provision without interruption.

The agreement allows for the development of joint work mechanisms and the strengthening of roles and responsibilities within a unified system to provide integrated services to customers, including the processes of registering and renewing economic activities related to transportation and communications and paying relevant fees.

His Excellency Engineer Ismail Hassan Al Balushi confirmed that the connectivity project embodies the authority’s strategic direction towards digital transformation and enhancing integration between government agencies, explaining that connectivity contributes to reducing the time it takes to serve the customer and exchange data in real time, which reflects positively on the quality of services and enhances the growth of the transportation sector in the emirate.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Shayeb Al Naqbi said that signing the agreement comes within the department’s efforts to implement best government practices and strengthen institutional partnerships, stressing that cooperation with the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority is consistent with the emirate’s government’s directions towards digital integration and raising performance efficiency.

He added that the department seeks, through the agreement, to facilitate the customer’s journey and provide faster and more transparent services, thus enhancing Ras Al Khaimah’s position as an attractive destination for investment and business.

He pointed out that the agreement represents a model of effective government integration that raises the quality of services and contributes to achieving customer satisfaction through an integrated digital system that supports the efficiency of government work and contributes to enhancing sustainable economic growth in the emirate.
