Sheikha Hind bint Majid Al Qasimi said: This mission constituted a strategic step to translate our vision aimed at empowering female entrepreneurs and giving them fruitful global opportunities. By taking our members to the heart of industrial and advanced manufacturing centers in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, we helped them gain the relationships, visions, and knowledge, as well as the confidence necessary to strengthen supply chains and compete at the international level, which embodies our commitment to ensuring the strengthening of the presence of female council members in the scene of innovation and international trade.

For her part, Her Excellency Sarah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center “Sheraa,” said: The Sharjah trade mission to China contributed to opening direct channels between Sheraa’s female entrepreneurs and global suppliers, allowing them to closely examine manufacturing processes and build partnerships that support the development of their products and accelerate the growth of their emerging companies. Based on this vision, Sheraa continues its commitment to providing opportunities that support sustainable progress and strengthen a system based on applied learning, cooperation, and continuous development.

Under the supervision of Oroub Al-Husseinan, an expert in supply chains and trade relations between China and the Middle East, the delegation participated in an intensive program that lasted for 6 days and included tours and visits to factories and markets in the most influential supply centers in the city of Guangzhou, including the Zhongda Changguang Fabric and Accessories Trade Plaza – the largest fabric market in the world and the cornerstone of fashion and apparel supply chains, in addition to a visit to the Mibu Beauty City Market, one of the largest centers for cosmetics, skin care products, and innovative packaging in the continent of Asia.

The delegation also explored the Guangzhou clothing wholesale market, where participants learned about the fashion industry and supplier networks, in addition to visiting specialized facilities, including a packaging factory in the town of Renhe, where female company founders communicated directly with manufacturers with experience in producing cans, bottles and packaging for customized products.

The mission’s program included visits to advanced production sites in the cosmetics and skin care industry in the Baiyun region, where the delegation was briefed on the processes of formulating raw materials and manufacturing for private labels and all stages of product development. The field visits provided the delegation with a comprehensive vision of the manufacturing system in the city of Guangzhou and the various opportunities it provides in the fashion, beauty products, packaging and retail sectors.

The mission also provided a pioneering platform to enhance strategic relations and communication between members of the Sharjah delegation with executives in a number of industries, representatives of government agencies, and owners of major commercial projects in China. The diverse system of the city of Guangzhou, supported by the strategic location in the greater Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area and world-class logistics services, provided an ideal environment for concluding sustainable partnerships and developing effective plans to enter markets.
