After a jump in its business to $5 billion… "Standard Aero" It is looking to expand its partnerships in the UAE and the region

Dubai, November 19 / WAM / Alex Youngs, Vice President of Marketing at Standard Aero International, revealed the company’s strategic direction towards strengthening its partnership system and expanding the scope of its cooperation in the UAE and the Middle East region, describing the region’s markets as among the most important and fastest growing global markets, especially in the civil, military and business aviation sectors.
In statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow 2025, Youngs confirmed that the company is constantly looking for real opportunities to establish new partnerships in the region that enhance its ability to provide services and direct technical support to local customers, similar to the operational partnership model it recently concluded in Indonesia.
He explained that this growing interest in the region is supported by the qualitative leaps that the company has achieved, as the volume of its business has increased from about one billion dollars less than two decades ago to more than five billion dollars now. He pointed out that although the company does not currently have direct operational facilities in the Emirates or the Middle East, it is linked to broad strategic contracts and partnerships with aviation companies and the defense sector in pivotal Gulf countries such as the Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
In the context of his review of technical capabilities, Youngs stated that Standard Aero provides maintenance, repair and overhaul services for more than 50 types of aircraft engines across its operational sites around the world, and its list of services includes strategic engines such as the “CFM Leap” engines used in the “Boeing 737 MAX” and “Airbus A320neo” aircraft, and the “F135” engines designated for the “F35” fighter, in addition to supporting helicopter and commercial aircraft engines such as the “GET”. 700″ and Gulfstream and Bombardier Global Express business jet engines, which are widely used in the region’s market.
