Saif bin Zayed attends the Omani Embassy’s ceremony on the occasion of the 55th National Day

Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, attended this evening the reception held by the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the country, Dr. Sayyid Ahmed bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi, on the occasion of the Sultanate’s 55th National Day.
The ceremony, which was held at the St. Regis Hotel in Abu Dhabi, was also attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Ahmed Ali Al Balushi, Director of the Gulf Cooperation Council Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited to the state, senior officials and members of the Omani community residing in the country.
In his speech, Al Busaidi stressed the interest and keenness of the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman to develop areas of cooperation between them in all fields, in a way that meets the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, and their keenness to strengthen the process of cooperation and push it to broader horizons.
He added that the Omani-Emirati relations are distinguished and historical, and are linked by fraternal ties and strategic relations whose approach was founded by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest their souls,” which achieved solidity and depth in the relations between the two brotherly countries.
