The Omani Ambassador: Omani-Egyptian relations stem from historical ties

Ambassador Abdullah Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman and its representative to the League of Arab States, confirmed that the Sultanate of Oman enjoys all the investment advantages that make it an incubating environment for various investments. God has endowed it with the blessings of security, political stability, and unique investment components from a distinguished geographical location overlooking international and regional sea lanes that make it a virgin land for the activities of tourism, logistics, transportation, housing, and security. This came during his speech at Celebration  On the 55th anniversary of the National Day of the Sultanate of Oman.

 

He said that food, mining and industry, especially in light of the “Investor Residency” programme. He stressed that his country has witnessed legislative and legal amendments and decisions encouraging investment, including the implementation of a free economic system that allows foreigners to own projects by up to 100 percent, without restrictions on transferring funds or obstacles in directing profits abroad, in addition to competitive service prices and a tax exemption for a period of five years that can be extended according to certain conditions, in addition to the absence of an income tax on individuals, and unified tax treatment for all companies and institutions. He said that the Oman-Egypt Land of Opportunity Conference is to strengthen relations between Oman and Egypt, achieving integration between the two countries, not competition between them, and the contribution of the brothers in Egypt to the foundations and goals of “Oman Vision 2040, as well as the contribution of Omani investors to the Egyptian Plan 2030, in order to achieve a more prosperous future that keeps pace with the aspirations of young people and the ambitions of both societies.

He indicated that the conference is to strengthen relations between Oman and Egypt, achieving integration between the two countries, not competition between them, and the contribution of the brothers in Egypt to the foundations and goals of the “Oman Vision 2040”, as well as the contribution of Omani investors to the Egyptian Plan 2030, in order to achieve a more prosperous future that keeps pace with the aspirations of the youth and the ambitions of the Omani and Egyptian societies, and facing common local and global economic challenges. “Omani-Egyptian” relations It is based on historical ties and is based on a firm conviction of common destiny and a unified vision for the service of humanity, nations, and peace for humanity.

At the end of his speech, he said that  Through the direct meeting between Omani investors and their Egyptian brothers, we will repeat the successful experiences that have been achieved over the past few years, such as the Egyptian Talaat Mustafa Group, which is developing two projects simultaneously in the west of the capital, with investments amounting to 1.5 billion riyals. 1.5 billion riyals and “Al-Ahly – Sabbour” company Which invests in the “Wadi Zaha” project In Sultan Haitham City, with investments of 90 million Omani Riyals, and other well-established Egyptian companies working in the field of infrastructure and facilities… These are experiences that we aim to replicate in the two countries.
