The artist “Basma” confirmed A member of the International Competition Jury at the Cairo Film Festival, said that there is a set of standards that must be met in a good film, which are that it nourishes the feelings and the mind, and that it contains a message, and in the end good films are not disputed over their content.
When asked about the benefit of her participation as a jury member, the artist Basma said, in her statement: “I have had very great experience from participating in a jury membership more than once, and this time is very different because I am participating in a major festival, which is the Cairo Film Festival.” Cinema… This participation adds a lot of experience to the artist because he deals with filmmakers from all over the world, artists with different ideas and visions, and it is a great opportunity for any artist who wants to learn, because participation in the jury committees also carries a kind of fair competition.
As for her advice to new filmmakers and how to present them with distinctive works, she said, “New filmmakers must present their vision and artistic works from their hearts, and not be artificial in the artistic work; Because simplicity is the easiest way to enter the hearts of viewers, who have now become more mature and more open-minded than previous generations.”
