Trump administration: The plan to end the war in Ukraine is not "Russian wish list"

The disagreements surrounding the 28-point plan, which stipulates the cession of Ukrainian territory that Moscow has long sought to control, have caused confusion in efforts to bring an end to the war.
Ukrainian, American and European officials are scheduled to meet Sunday in Switzerland to discuss Trump’s plan.
Following comments that described the proposals as favorable toMoscow Almost completely, a number of US senators addressed the issue at a press conference during the Halifax International Security Forum in Nova Scotia, Canada, on Saturday.
The senators – Republican Mike Rounds, Independent Angus King and Democrat Jeanne Shaheen – said that Rubio told them that the current plan on Ukraine is not the official position of the United States, but instead includes… "Russian wish list".
He added "What Rubio told us is that this is not the American proposal. This was a proposal received by a person (…) representing Russia in this plan. It was handed over to Mr. Witkoff"referring to Trump’s diplomatic envoy.
He continued "It is neither our recommendation nor our plan for peace"
King confirmed these comments, saying: "The leaked 28-point plan, which according to Secretary of State Rubio does not represent the official position (…) is essentially the Russians’ wish list that is now being presented to the Europeans and Ukrainians.".
