Russian Foreign Ministry: European Union policy hinders peace in Ukraine
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko confirmed that the position of European countries prevents them from making any contribution to the peace process in Ukraine.
Grushko said – in statements reported by the TASS news agency: Russian newspaper on Thursday – “The policy path followed by the European Union hinders peace in Ukraine,” adding: “If we look at the real positions of European leaders, it is clear that there is not a single country among the European Union countries that can contribute to resolving the Ukrainian crisis.”
He also explained that while the European Union countries claim that they dream of restoring peace, their actual approach makes this peace unachievable.
He added that the Union The European Union has obstructed progress at every stage of the conflict and its position is more inclined to rhetoric rather than real efforts to reach a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
