"Sharjah Electricity" Wins an international award in the field of innovation
LAS VEGAS – NV, 27 November / WAM / Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority received the Connected Experience AI Innovation Award at the WE3 Digital Energy & Water Awards 2025, which was recently organized by Smart Energy Water in Las Vegas, USA.
This win comes in recognition of the Authority’s efforts to build an integrated service system based on artificial intelligence and innovation to improve the experience of subscribers in the electricity, water and gas sectors, in accordance with the highest international standards.
The Authority was represented at the official award ceremony by Majid Huraimel Al Shamsi, Director of the General Department of Institutional Support Services, who received the award on behalf of the Authority amid a wide international presence of leaders and experts in energy, water and digital transformation.
The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority has achieved remarkable progress in its digital journey by adopting advanced technologies that have enabled it to provide a unified and integrated experience through its 5-star-rated smart application and its electronic platform, allowing millions of subscribers to access their services easily, efficiently, and around the clock.
As part of its smart strategy, the Authority launched the virtual assistant “Naffa” based on the latest artificial intelligence technologies, which works around the clock to provide immediate and personal support to subscribers in bills, payments, requests for technical services, and consumption data, as well as strategic partnerships with a group of the best international companies specialized in energy and water solutions and advanced technologies.
Majid Huraimel Al Shamsi said, “This global victory is an important milestone in the Authority’s digital transformation journey, and reflects our commitment to providing innovative solutions that enhance the subscribers’ experience and keep pace with the visions and directions of the Sharjah Government in building an advanced and sustainable service system. It comes as a result of diligent work and a unified vision between the SEWA teams and its global partners to achieve an advanced model in smart services.”
