Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, confirmed that the fire that broke out this evening inside one of the open filming locations at Studio Misr had been extinguished, explaining that the accident did not result in any loss of life, nor did the studio buildings or its infrastructure suffer any damage.
The Minister of Culture indicated that the fire occurred in the decorations of the alley for filming the King series scheduled to be shown in the Ramadan 2026 season, pointing out The nature of the materials used in preparing the decoration helped to speed up the ignition before it was brought under control within a short time.
Civil protection forces continue firefighting and insurance operations via five vehicles operating inside the site, while the Minister of Culture is monitoring the situation in the field to ensure the safety of workers and the stability of the situation.
Heno directed: By opening an urgent investigation in coordination with the competent prosecution and civil protection to uncover the circumstances of the fire and take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of accidents inside the filming sites.
